His Investment

1. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3. And God said, Let there be light (here comes the manifestation of Jesus): and there was light.
4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. (Genesis. 1:1-5)

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John. 1:5)

Because the initial plan of God for mankind was marred by the devil; God…like a business man who wouldn’t want the effort and energy invested into a business go to waste, started allover so He could make profit from His investment (man). Therefore, He gave us Jesus Christ, that whosoever believes in Him (Jesus) should not perish, but have eternal life (John.3:16). Through Jesus, we are able to get through to God, because for the second time, formless, empty waste and darkness was cast away from the life of man; and because Jesus is our shepherd, we cannot lack freedom and daily needs (psalm. 23:1).

Colossians. 3:14-15 confirms our freedom from every human regulations and laws constituted by Moses in the old testament. John.1:17 also makes it clear that though the law was given by Moses, the grace and truth of our identity came through Jesus Christ. Therefore, whosoever the son has made free is free indeed (John. 8:36). For this reason, you need not be tossed to and fro by human doctrine (Ephesians. 4:14).

Jesus Christ has manifested to destroy all the lies of the devil. Jesus is now the bishop of our souls. We are the investment of God. He shepherds us that we may be fruitful to God who has invested so much in us, and the energy of God on us will not be wasted. The moment you give your life to Jesus, Old things have passed away and all things have become new (2 Corinthians.5:17; 1Peter.2:25).

Since Jesus is our shepherd, we can never lack. He daily brings us to green pastures so that we no longer live under the budget of the government, but His own budget; for “in Him we live, in Him we move and have our being” (Acts. 17:28). We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. We can never walk alone. We are His investment. Therefore, whatever struggle we may have in every form of life (marital, financial, etc.) He is always there with us to fix the broken pieces of our lives (Psalm. 100:3).

No matter how broken you are, Jesus will fix you, because you are His investment (Psalm. 112:6-8; Psalm.23:4). He will guide you through every situation, and if you set the Lord before you always and allow Him to occupy the right space/vacuum in your life, nothing can move you, and there is no reason to fear (Psalm. 116:8-10).

Because of the energy and time He has invested in you, He will always guide you through the rough paths of life. He will always correct you to protect you and shape you to what He wants you to be and that you might not fall into the trap of the devil (Psalm. 23:4-6).

Remember, God has invested so much in you; therefore, formlessness, empty waste and darkness have no place in you. Because you are the energy of God and no energy of God can be wasted, you must succeed and prosper with His goodness, mercy, grace and favour as your companions throughout the days of your life.
